• Recognise and pronounce Tamil's tricky sounds — ழ/ள/ல, ர/ற, ண/ந/ன — without mixing them up.
• Combine consonants and vowels into uyirmey syllables using the correct vowel signs (matras).
• Read the Tamil numerals ௦–௰ and say the number words from one to ten.
• Sound out and read real Tamil words, signboards, bus boards and shop names.
• Write your own name in the Tamil script.
• Understand how vowel length (short vs long) changes a word's meaning.
• Avoid the most common beginner spelling and reading mistakes.
• Build a foundation of 40+ everyday Tamil words to carry into the Survival course.
